Delta Waste Solutions is proud to be your new residential waste collection provider in Forrest County. Beginning February 1, 2026, all residents will transition to Delta Waste Solutions for their weekly curbside trash collection service.

Garbage Collection Service Information

Garbage collection occurs once per week on your designated pick-up day. If you are unsure about when your designated service day is, please call us at 601-804-1060

Carts should be placed by the road in a safe location, not next to a mailbox or permanent structure. The cart needs at least 10 feet of space on either side and must be placed no more than 6 feet from the road.

Please place your cart(s) on the curbside before 6:00 AM on your service day.

All waste must fit inside your Delta Waste Solutions provided cart. If you have extra bagged trash, please call 601-804-1060 to purchase an overage tag. Overage tags cost $7.50 each and must be picked up and paid for in person at our office.

The following items are prohibited and will not be collected:

• - Construction debris
• - Yard waste (i.e. leaves, grass, tree limbs, etc.)
• - Household appliances (i.e. washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.)
• - Hazardous waste
• - Paint cans and 5-gal buckets
• - Batteries or other flammable products
• - Tires

Billing and Payment Instructions

Residential garbage service is billed quarterly in advance. Invoices are issued on the 15th of each month for the upcoming quarter of service. Payment must be received no later than the last calendar day of the month preceding service in order for the account to remain in good standing.

Paper invoices and manual payments may be subject to additional fees (see Summary of Charges page). To avoid these fees, please enroll in paperless billing and digital payment through the Customer Portal immediately.

Payments must be received on time to prevent stopping of service.

Holiday Service Schedule

Waste collection service will be suspended on the following holidays:

• - New Year’s Day
• - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• - Memorial Day
• - Independence Day
• - Labor Day
• - Thanksgiving Day
• - Christmas Day

If one of these holidays falls on a regularly scheduled collection day, all scheduled collections for that week may be delayed by one day. Residents are encouraged to place containers out according to the adjusted schedule following the holiday. Service will resume on the next scheduled collection day.
